Dr. Caree Jackson Cotwright is redefining what nutrition leadership looks like, where science, culture, and creativity converge to drive real change. A nationally recognized expert in nutrition security, she blends rigorous research with storytelling to transform how communities learn, eat, and thrive. From shaping federal nutrition policy to turning vegetables into heroes on stage, her work proves that lasting health change starts with imagination and inclusion. Dr. Cotwright formerly served as director of nutrition security at the USDA Food and Nutrition Service, where she helped advance the White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health.

She has delivered more than 200 keynotes and media engagements nationwide and has been honored with the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness & Nutrition Hero Award and 40 Under 40 Awards from the University of Georgia Alumni Association and Georgia Trend Magazine. An associate professor at the University of Georgia, registered dietitian, and founder of Dr. Caree, LLC, she leads community-driven research and creative initiatives that nourish healthier futures, one child, one family, one meal at a time.
