Daniella Ivanir
Youth Engagement & Advocacy Manager, #HalfTheStory
Daniella Ivanir is the youth engagement and advocacy manager at #HalfTheStory, a nonprofit dedicated to improving the next generation’s relationship with technology. Daniella leads all teen-centered programming, including the Digital Civics Academy, which empowers young leaders to build a healthier digital future. Through her work at #HalfTheStory, and as a member of Mental Health America’s Youth Policy Accelerator 2025 cohort, Daniella advocates for national and state policies that advance youth peer support and online safety for kids.
Daniella’s journey in the youth mental health space began at fifteen when she volunteered at the suicide prevention hotline, TeenLine, and she saw firsthand the power of youth peer support. Since then, she has dedicated her career to addressing the adolescent mental health crisis and the impact of technology on youth well-being. While earning a degree in Psychology with a minor in Public Policy at UC Berkeley, she founded Lean On Me UC Berkeley, the first anonymous peer support text line on campus. Daniella is currently based in New York City.
