Shiloh Beckerley, PhD, is a Senior Vice President of Research & Evaluation at Rescue, a health behavior change agency focused on large-scale public health impact. For more than 17 years, her work has centered on understanding how people make decisions and how strategic communications can shift those decisions toward healthier outcomes. She has served as Principal Investigator on a wide range of federally and state-funded research initiatives, including projects with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and multiple state health departments.
Her work has contributed to national policy conversations, informed congressional testimony, and been cited in U.S. Surgeon General reports. Dr. Beckerley has led large, multi-phase research efforts on cannabis prevention, including statewide initiatives with the California Department of Public Health, where her team has examined how legalization shapes youth perceptions, norms, and behavior. Her expertise lies in translating complex behavioral science into messaging strategies that resonate in real-world contexts, particularly among teens navigating rapidly shifting cultural landscapes. She earned her PhD in Psychology from the University of California, San Diego.
