Leah Hoffman is a behavioral scientist with over two decades of experience leading innovative health communication project implementation, research, and evaluation and translating research findings into concrete, actionable recommendations for change. Ms. Hoffman has extensive experience in social marketing and behavior-change communications projects among young people in a vast array of health areas in the United States, the Central Asian Republics, Vietnam, and Papua New Guinea.
Her health communication and social marketing expertise has improved campaigns to decrease tobacco use initiation and HIV transmission among young populations and increase mental health service uptake. She has authored more than 34 publications that have been cited over 1,000 times. Her work across the globe has supported FDA, HHS, SAMHSA, California Department of Public Health, US State Department (USAID), Global Fund, UNICEF, DFAT (Australian AID), and ADB.
